Mr. Lalla has over 45 years of varied experience within and outside the UB Group. He has been with the UB Group for the past 25 years, except for a short stint of 5 years with the RPG Group as the President of a joint venture company. The Company was in shambles and he very successfully turned it around in spite of all odds.
From 1994 till October 2006, he headed Herbertsons Limited as Managing Director. Subsequently, Herbertsons Limited was merged with McDowell & Company Limited (re-christened United Spirits Limited). He is presently also the Managing Director of Shaw Wallace & Company Limited, which was acquired by the UB Group in mid 2005. He is on the Board of several Companies and has been appointed Chairman of UB Engineering Limited in September 2005.
